Where can I buy your titles?
Please see our Stockist page to buy Cittern Press titles.
Can I order direct from you?
Only shops and wholesalers can buy direct from Cittern Press. For retail customers, we have an ever expanding list of shops who sell Cittern Press titles, so please see our Stockist page. The only exception to that would be if Cittern Press are trading at a festival, in which case keep an eye on Cittern Press social media for any upcoming events.

I’ve ordered your book from a retailer, but it still hasn’t arrived yet.
This is something I cannot help you with, please contact the retailer directly.
I’ve ordered your book but it is damaged.
This is something I cannot help you with, please contact the retailer directly.
Can you help me with an international order?
No, this is something you need to speak to a retailer about.
The publication date of you book has changed, will my pre-order be late?
Sometimes, due to printing delays or other unforeseen issues, the publication date might be pushed back slightly. Retailers usually update the publication date on their website when it does change, and inform their customers, but it is still worth checking the retailer’s website for this. Cittern Press will keep this website and social media updated too. All pre-orders will only go out to retailers from Cittern Press after the publication date, who then have to send them to their customers, so expect a slight delay.
How soon after publication can I expect my pre-order to arrive?
This depends on several factors, delivery from the retailer above most things. All pre-orders will only go out to retailers from Cittern Press after the publication date, who then have to send them to their customers – so always speak to the retailer about shipping times.
I don’t play the cittern, mandolin or recorder, can I still use your books?
Yes, you can. Depending on what instrument you do play, all our books can be used by other instruments. For example, if you play the violin, then the books which include mandolin tuning (GDAE) would work well – the Musick’s Delight series for example. Pan’s musical Companion can also be used by other instruments, providing your instrument can play in the various key signatures included in the book (F, Bb, C and a few G and D in Alto volume) as it was designed for that purpose.
Can you offer advice on cittern tunings?
Potentially. There is lots of information on the web about the various tunings, but do get in touch if you cannot find what information you need. The Musick’s Delight series uses GDGDG and GDAE as default tunings.
Can you offer advice on buying a musical instrument?
A musical instrument shop or luthier would be a better place to ask this question, and there are also lots of reviews and other information on the web about this – particularly for the recorder family.
Do you offer any form of music tuition?
No, not at present.
Can I book you for a performance or talk?
No, not at present.
